One advantage of having a number of quality authors in the hotwife genre (I wish there were more!) is that most every reader should be able to find one or more authors who deliver quality work that is responsive to what that reader seeks. Opinions certainly differ, though I respectfully suggest that the ideal framework for criticism is that it be constructive. Most elite authors in the hotwife genre are writing on a purely volunteer basis, while the few elite authors who market their works on pay sites are unlikely to generate sufficient revenue to transform their writing into anything more than a hobby. Those who devote the time and effort in providing constructive criticism also often are the readers who post the favorable comment/review and rating when an author hits the proverbial home run. Many authors are on the record saying that such feedback provides critical fuel for the creative fire that keeps them energized and writing more great stories.

Having said all of that, something occurred on this thread that I believe to be somewhat unusual and rather spectacular. After Fifth Estate's series, The Speedo Doesn't Lie, was mentioned on this thread, several veteran posters, who (in my opinion) are credible and well-regarded, offered constructive criticism to Fifth after reading the series and the finale in Chapter 8. They suggested that the ending of Chapter 8 might be improved if Fifth revised it to include the conversation between Abbie (the hotwife) and Justin (the husband/stag) after Nick (the bull) departed the morning after an absolutely scorching interaction. And, guess what, Fifth made the revision to include that conversation, which now has been posted on Literotica. The conversation not only created another scorching hot scene, but also made a great Chapter even better by including a dialogue that explained the mindset of the couple and also added key components to the groundwork for the pending sequel, The Bullpen.

Readers who take the time to share their praise and constructive criticism. Authors who take seriously thoughtful comments and suggestions from their engaged readers. The rest of us, who greatly benefit from such unscripted collaboration. All brought together on this site. The creators and moderators of ourhotwifes.org should be very proud that they have created a forum where such interactions - and resulting actions - not only are permitted, but encouraged. BRAVO!!!

I started not to respond to the above, but due to the total difference of opinion between myself and the quoted poster, I felt I should explain the basis for my recommendation. I took from the theme of the thread we should post the good interracial stories and authors we LIKED. So I did.

I also like Shooter3704, bobfr, among others. The reading of Shooter's stories was one of the factors in prompting my wife to start hotwifing.

I discovered Astor's writings later, and his books seem to fit my style of hotwifing, as the husbands in his books tend to not be a sissy, female-dominated, or suck the bull's cock, and the wife usually proceeds with honesty and permission rather than cheating. Different strokes.

While obviously the poster quoted above does not like Astor's works, I think such an attack might prevent someone who might otherwise enjoy Astor's work from potentially not taking a look. I posted my opinion because I like his work and thought others might enjoy his books.

While the poster may not have a good opinion of Astor, I did note on A1AdultBooks and Fiction4Adults sites that for the year 2020 Astor's books rank 1, 2, 3, and 10 for those two sites' best sellers of the year. For those same sites in their best sellers of all time, Astor's work ranks 3, 8, 12, 17, 18, 19, and 20 out of the top 20. While the poster does not like Astor's work or my opinion of it, it would appear that there are quite a few people who do.

I would suggest that rather than take the quoted poster's opinion--or my opinion, take a look at the above sites, read the reviews, check out the excerpts of the first few chapters, and then make up your own mind which one of us is more correct.

I guess my response stems from the way I was raised, as my dear departed mother used to say, "If you can't say something nice it is often best to keep your mouth shut." Such vehement opposition to a poster's opinion could prevent others from posting their recommendations, which would be a loss to us all. I know I certainly considered ceasing to post, but chose this route instead.

Hot off the press on Amazon is "My Sexy Hotwife", Book 2 in the 5 part series "A Cuckold's Tale" by Lena White, an author who is somewhat unique in that she has found a way to publish excellent works of the depth, complexity and length that separate the true authors from the "book mill pretenders" in the hotwife genre. I highly recommend this book, which is a definite addition to my list of favorites that I previously posted on this thread.

In the interest of full disclosure, I have been a fan of Lena White for several years, have had the pleasure of assisting her as a Beta Reader for several of her books and have published reviews for a number of her books. That is the extent of my involvement, as I have no financial arrangement with her in any respect and pay full freight for everything that she publishes. Every one of her books that I have purchased was well worth the price.

If you appreciate amazing character development, candid dialogue that vividly depicts the raw emotions & intoxicating angst of the hotwife/bull/stag/cuckold dynamic, and smoldering interactions described in a manner that transform the reader into voyeur, you should consider adding "My Sexy Hotwife" to your reading list.

Prospective readers will get a nice idea of the quality of this book by reading the free excerpt that is available on Amazon. I also just posted my review on Amazon, which hopefully will go live soon and provide additional information for those who consider purchasing it.

I'm new to this forum, but I've been following it for a little while now. I wanted to start off by saying thanks to Duke Lattimore, Couple20uk, and DavidnDaria for the previews, reviews, and critiques (not necessarily in that order...lol) of my story series called "The Speedo Doesn't Lie" on Literotica. As you've probably read on these pages, I published the 8th and final chapter to the series not long ago. And has also been discussed here, I made the choice to make "TSDL" a prequel to a follow up series called "The Bullpen" which I hope to begin publishing before the end of the year, but will more likely be released in 2021. But what I wanted to acknowledge in this thread today is the value of this forum for authors like me. Due to some of the feedback discussed here and by Literotica readers directly, I was motivated to rewrite part of the final chapter and I think the changes made it a better story for future readers. Thanks.

Secondarily, I was a big fan of this genre long before I ever put a pen to paper, so the discussions around great authors interest me like they do all of you. j267 happens to be my favorite author in this category as he is for some of you too. Unfortunately, I haven't had any luck getting him to respond to my inquiries either. Hopefully I can add some insight along the way to thought processes, motivations, and challenges that unpaid authors like me (and maybe him) face.

I look forward to being involved moving forward. And if you happen to read any of my work, I welcome feedback, but rest assured, I'm a big boy and can take the criticism if it doesn't float your boat. No sugar coating (somehow I don't think that will be a problem for this group).

Nice to see you on this forum FifthEstate. Yes we did have a little discussion on Speedo chapter 8 and though perhaps not absolutely perfect the latest updated version is very close to it and in my opinion a big improvement on the original version.

With regard to j267, he is also one of my favourite free authors though I do get a little frustrated that he has a habit of stopping stories too abruptly. I am a long story person. However I will add that I wrote to him recently and he did answer my question. A short answer yes, nor the answer I wanted but he did answer. So I would say keep trying.

There is also one other author on Literotica that was recently pointed out to me and I had long forgotten about and I do not think he been mentioned here.

He is bobfr and all the stories that I have read of his do have an interracial element to them, though he has not written anything new for many years. It maybe worth looking him up on Literotica and reading one or two. Most follow similar story paths so after reading one you know what you be getting with the rest. I will say he starts all his stories well and has good character build up but for me the stories tend to be a little too short and the progression to full blown gangbangs can be a little too quick. But do have a look at bobfr on Literotica.

Tom immediately notices how good Madison looks in clothing, long before seeing her without. Tom quickly realizes that her destiny is to join him in the deepest recesses of his inner circle - as his bride. Thus, their journey begins, though Madison's inner circle is subject to change, and not from an angle that one might expect. 2. Max Sebastian just released a series of shorts on Amazon. I have been a longtime fan (back to his days of posting on Literotica), but prefer longer stories. However, knowing that he has been a top writer in the hotwife genre for over a decade, I took a flyer on one and was thrilled that I did! The story is titled "A Little Fantasy Never Hurt: An Erotic Short" and is actually of decent length (54 pages) for a story billed as a short. The highlight for me was the spectacular evolution of the psyche of both stag and hotwife, with Max really delving into the delicious angst that makes the hotwife relationship so irresistible. Great character development as well, featuring Ryan and his lovely fiancee, Nina. After catching Ryan checking out some other girl’s cute ass, Nina surprisingly (at least to Ryan) didn't bust his chops. Instead, she not only was okay with it, but finally let down her guard in revealing that she checks out hot guys on occasion - and has her own fantasies about them. But you know where this is going, right? When Nina tells Ryan that she fantasizes about other men, it actually turns him on. We really liked the Max series of shorts he just released. The one you mentioned, Duke, is brilliant and fun. I think you can see that in our review on Amazon. Max is one of our top three favorite authors. If anyone hasn't read "The Madeleine Trilogy: The epic wife-watching romance" read it. It's the real thing. There's also a followup to it in a short stories collection.

Heads up, while it's not interracial--it's got interracial in it--C. C. Morian is getting ready to release the first part of "The Wife" which is the first part of the last installment in the Vixen series. We're on Cece's ARC team and highly recommend the book.

I don't know about Part 5 having a strong interracial element, but we do know about the "Princess" tat. Kenny Wright wrote in his blog that he was at odds. When it comes out, I guess we'll see.

I don't know about close ties, but I'll ask CC about Blaise Quin. I know at one time we commented on their collaborations. CC is a fantastic writer, if you've read the Vixen series, the next installment will be an outstanding deep look into the minds of the characters, and a great prelude to the final part of the series.

I asked CC about Blaise. Blaise is ghost writing, now. Blaise also wrote the epilogue for "The Wife 2". In that epilogue, you'll note a distinctively different direction than CC.

The good news: We finished reading the ARC of "The Wife 2". It's probably the best thing CC has ever written. Seriously. It's that good. Not only will readers see deeply inside Joanne's and Phillip's marriage, they'll also see an evolutionary shift. It's simply a GREAT book. Look for it soon, on Amazon.

1/ Is it the emotional entanglement and possibly the growing romance between the woman and her lover?
2/ The fantasy?

Ok, Nosy Parker! Your question is a very good one. As I consider myself more of a classic hotwife fan, preferring the hotwife''s husband to be more stag than cuck, I will take the liberty of responding to your question in that context.

The clear answer for me is the Power Exchange, which to me is the ultimate crescendo for stories in the hotwife genre.

Most of the factors that you mentioned above contribute to the consummate Power Exchange. In my view, here are the key fundamentals:

1. A strong husband / wife relationship, typically with the husband having alpha characteristics and the wife being innocent, pristine, unaware of her hotness and somewhat untapped in terms of her sexuality. The higher her perch, the more galactic her fall - and the greater the impact on the power exchange dynamic. Also, the hotwife being lured from a husband with alpha characteristics adds another delicious dimension in the fall of the hotwife.

2. A believable hotwife enabler. Perhaps it's the wife's best friend, who happens to be a hotwife or who is single (whether yet to be married or recently divorced) and orchestrates a girl's night out that starts the innocent bride on her path to the hotwife abyss. Or perhap's husband's best friend or work mate is a stag, and he starts sharing stories of his hotwife's adventures - and how/why they turn him on, and that his hotwife could perhaps help in luring the innocent wife toward the lifestyle.

3. A taboo element for the bull. Disparity in age, such as older bull / younger hotwife. Disparity in race, such as black male / white female. Disparity in social class, such as high society wife / bull who is the tatted up bad boy trainer at the gym OR the boss at work as the bull with the hotwife who is his employee or the wife of his employee.

4. A believable connection and relationship between hotwife and bull, with the elite authors distinguishing themselves by painting the emotional picture of the heretofore innocent wife taking her first bite of the forbidden apple, and finding that she loves it and finding that, as the relationship matures, she eventually becomes powerless to refuse anything to her bull. Coupled with realistic reinforcement from the stag/husband, with reclamation sex that shows that the impact is a net positive for the marriage, thus making realistic the continuation of the hotwife relationship.

5. The delicious emotional angst that is the key element in the hotwife dynamic. Jealousy one moment, which is overcome by carnal bliss, which is followed by regret/doubt, with the craving for more bringing it full circle. Love for the hotwife that is so strong that the husband can give her the rope to seek, find and enjoy pleasure that otherwise is not available to her in the marital relationship. The acknowledgment that the bull can make that hotwife do things that the husband cannot - due to the love and respect inherent in the marital dynamic, which is totally absent in the bull / hotwife relationship and which allows the bull to sequentially debase the hotwife as she progresses along her journey to total debauchery.

6. 7. The continued devolution of the hotwife at the direction of the bull, manifested by fundamental changes in key characteristics and behavior. Increasingly longer and more frequent time away with the bull. Dates extending to overnights to weekend trips to a week away. Changes in wardrobe, with wife wearing dresses that become progressively shorter and tighter, with heels that become increasingly higher. Heavier makeup and jewelry that are a meaningful movement in the slutty direction, without going overboard. The subtle changes in appearance become increasingly more significant, especially if one of the altered features was a favorite of the husband. Perhaps he loves her dark hair, but she returns from a trip as a corn silk luscious blond. He loves her unblemished, porcelain skin, and she returns from a trip with a tat or a piercing. Thank you for the effort you put into writing that Duke. It obviously took a lot of time and is greatly appreciated. You mentioned Lena White. Based on the recommendations on this thread I downloaded the first two Lena White books yesterday and I have to be honest. I hated them. The outcome that is. It was a step too far for me.

I think it's because I came from a swinger background where everything is, or should be, quid pro quid for everyone. The power imbalance in those two books and the utter degradation/abandonment of the husband just didn't work for me. Had that been me I would have been divorced, packed and gone!

The stories for the most part included sex, but it was pretty generalised and not much specificity which was one of my questions. So I have to assume you liked that.

Your 9 points touch on so many issues and I agree with so many. But one of your points is the destruction of the marriage. How do you feel about that in real life? Personally, I far prefer the couple to realise they're on the precipice and pull back. Save the marriage rather than utter destruction.

The stag husband needs to have the confidence in the hotwife - and in the marriage - before he can give her the rope to play with as she engages in the hotwife adventure. Their sexual relationship thrives, with scorching reclamation encounters that exceed what they enjoyed before their adventure began. The wife finds dimensions to her sexuality that previously were dormant, with her stag acknowledging that they never could be tapped in their loving marital relationship – but that those dimensions became accessible via her bull. But the beauty of the elite authors is that they don’t make this result automatic. They seek to provide the reader with an element of tension that is similar to the angst experienced by the hotwife and her stag. For that tension to be real for the reader, the author must keep us honest by not always giving us what we want.

As with most authors, especially in the hotwife genre, Lena White’s writing has evolved. While many authors start out on the lighter side and evolve to different degrees of darkness, Lena started out on the dark side and evolved to more balance between dark and light. The recent book that I mentioned, "My Sexy Hotwife" (Book 2 in her 5 Part Series "A Cuckold's Tale") is the perfect example of that evolution. I hope that you will take the plunge and fast forward to that book, and let me know what you think. I suggest that you will find it to be much different than her early works, and that many of the appealing elements that I cited in my prior post are included in it – rather beautifully, I might add.

I also believe that the hotwife genre in erotic fiction is one of the most challenging from the writing standpoint. So many of the story arcs are done time and again – with short, shallow “books” from “book mill” authors who fill the genre with so much literary chaff that it becomes difficult to find the wheat. As I think that we would agree, a fresh take, superb character development and sizzling interactions are key parts of the equation for the hotwife books that constitute the “wheat”.

So, what else must be present to transform literary chaff into wheat? Realism. While I love the suspension of reality that well-written fiction can provide, realism is necessary for readers not only to relate to the story, but also to interject themselves into the story arc as the character that either most resembles their persona or the character that they would like to be – that’s the trick in transforming a reader into a voyeur – and that’s what the badass authors in the hotwife genre have mastered. Without realism, the book simply becomes sexual sci-fi - not that sci-fi necessarily is bad, if that’s what you’re looking for – it’s just not my gig.

So what brings realism? I think that, in many story arcs, there must be a degree of insecurity in the marriage and a concern as to whether the marriage will survive the hotwife adventure – that is a key ingredient in the tension in “hotwife angst” that makes it work. Often, the reassurance that the marriage is still intact becomes an interim measure that gives the hotwife the confidence to take her decadence to the next level, while allowing more vicarious enjoyment by the stag without concern that the hotwife will be lost to her bull. But, occasionally, an author will take the marriage to an unfortunate ending because marriages in the hotwife world do sometimes end that way. So, for intellectual honesty to be maintained, the “happily ever after” ending can’t be the automatic foregone conclusion – the reader needs to be kept on edge as to how the story will end. In her more recent works, Lena White occasionally has taken the plunge of allowing the marriage to end, most recently in “The Subjugation of Gabrielle” – which is another of her works that I strongly recommend.

Yes, my clear preference is for the marriage to survive. But each of the books that have entered my Hotwife Hall of Fame have had significant moments in which the survival of the marriage was in doubt. It's all about the tension - for the hotwife/stag and for the reader/voyeur.

What are the elements that make up a good hotwife story? I find that the build up has to make sense, that the relationship between husband and wife has to be strong, that, for me, the wife has never done this before and it’s overpowering is very sexy. That she shares everything, or almost everything about the experience with her husband. That he struggles and then accepts his wife in the new light of her new found sexuality. Also, his acceptance of his wife as needing to continue strengthens the relationship between husband and wife. However, for the husband threat of loss remains on his mind.

I discovered cuckold fetish a fear ago reading stories of GoodHusband, Adam'story from stormydog and Xleglover on literotica, and I still read all those stories.

I must say that at I really hate all stories where the husband is degraded, humiliated, reduced to a mere shell of a person, basically just a pet fot the hotwife or/and reduced to an object of ridicule.
IMHO they are too often completly unrealistic.

- first I tend to 'feel' like the husband would feel and could not accept what happens to them.

- In a way I always thought that those stories at heart should be love stories and in those stories, too often, it seems absurd to thinks that there is still love at least from the hotwife side.

- I find really hard to believe that those marriage can continue, and, like Duke Lattimore, my clear preference is for the marriage to survive.
