For me it comes down to what little girl's hope for, noone and I mean noone dreams about a lover who wants other men to have her on the regular. We know long loving relationships can apparently build unbreakable bonds, two are literally joined as one rather than just figuratively. and being 'soul mates' isn't just an aspiration but an achieved status. This is what Tom and Jas had, or thought they had.

To put this at risk takes one hell of a lot of courage, but it's often a driven need, not so much just a fantasy but a fantasy that has to be realised. It was this NEED to take the risk, to live the experience, to gamble and roll the dice which opened Pandora's box, the genie was out, the spell had been cast, there was no turning back.

It's massively presumptuous to say it should have been done far more slowly, red lines made clear, perhaps a much, much longer build up, let Jas get acclimatised, whatever, it's all water under the bridge now, it's gone you can't travel back in time. There are no guarantees ANY alternative approach would have given a different outcome.

Even if I've never met Tom i can't help liking the online version, he's been incredibly forthcoming with his experience and feelings, writes well, and is obviously a very intelligent, articulate and well balanced.bloke, you can't help but be on his side cheering him on and wishing him well. It's just so hard on him but it's that risk everyone takes, will she come back? - that never goes away not at 30 or 40 and probably not at 50 or 60 either. Tom had ten years of loving Jas, they had built their castle in the air, they were solid, but noone knows for absolutely certain if she'll come back, it's the risk that can be so essential for fulfillment, is it really better left as a fantasy longer?

I compared it to Curious Dave's fate with his Jenna in his 'Wife and my Dad' thread without the incest, but no two cases are alike and mistakes are always made. Some women like CD's Jenna are very traditional in their ambitions, they just don't want this, to be led down this alternate route against all their judgement and instincts. Jas didn't ask for this either, she should never be condemned or vilified for it. It's just a very sad situation but it's by no means a lost one, they have to play it out. Is it really just NRE? - I mean 12 months build up, a real connection on insta, meeting at the office, a special lunch - this really isn't some schoolgirl crush or fancy that may instantly fade, it isn't really all so sudden but a very lengthy foreplay to actual dating - it looks like it could last but we'll see.

It comes across that she is totally vanilla. “I’m with you.” she says, and she so endearingly fails to understand when he suggests her getting with Steve. She’s completely bewildered by the things Tom is now saying. She has no idea about this stuff. Yes, she knows Tom is a bit geeky, not like show off Steve, but she loves him for who he is. She expects him to want her to be faithful like she's always been. It’s them against the world. He’s her rock. Her constant. Her everything. But suddenly he isn’t.

On her first date night with Steve, Jas comes home to Tom wanting some loving and sex from her boyfriend. Tom should give it to her. Take this new dimension in their relationship slowly. Instead he sends her off to Steve’s house. He's thrown her off a cliff because it gets his dick hard. She’s sexually hot for Steve, but her mind must be in turmoil in the uber going over there that night.

Fast forward to last night for the effect all of this has had:

J: Tom was obviously whatsapping me all night and I have to admit, I didnt care!

He’s taken their oneness away at a stroke, and he’s throwing some really extreme stuff at this girl who he loves and who loves him. She must feel as though she’s had the rug pulled from under her. She’s bound to be confused by it all. He throws her at Steve because he knows she’s had a thing for him. It’s not unusual to have a thing for someone you know. People fancy people their whole lives without following through. Jas may have been that way with Steve in the event, had she not been pushed.

Within days she has been sexually active with Steve and two other men. They are men she wants in the moment and she has the time of her life. She has her head turned. At the same time she must have been feeling such pain in her heart that she’d lost her normal life and her anchor because Tom is acting so differently; so weird. It's all too quick. No wonder she feels like a confused mess, wanting Tom, but wanting others.

Now, for the time being, she’s like a little girl in a free sweet shop grabbing everything that looks tasty. But never having had an adult relationship with anyone other than Tom, she’s vulnerable to predators. She doesn’t understand the health warning signs that come with those tasty sweets because she’s never needed to with Tom, her man, by her side.

I love Tom’s writing on here and the hot way he describes everything. Kudos for all of that, and he obviously loves Jas. He has a lot of courage too. He is very extreme in the kink, though. Much more so than a lot of us, I believe, and it’s hard to see a way back from here for him and his lovely girl.

How does Tom expect her to feel when she gets to comparing him to this latest guy? Has he thought about that between the wanking?

Tatts seems to be everything a girl dreams of although she has no knowledge of any skeletons in his cupboard. He has his own house and wealth to lavish on her. Tom and Jas (I think) live in rented accommodation, and he said they had a tough time financially during Covid and were only just getting back on their feet. How well a man can provide is a big consideration when a woman might be turning her attention to nest building.

How does it make her feel about Tom when she’s out on the town enjoying herself with this independent, fit, attractive guy and Tom’s sending her videos of himself wanking? Yeah, I know she said she’s into that, but really? Looks to me like a very good way to make himself redundant, if she’s seeing Tatts as long term relationship material. I love my girl to run wild, but I wouldn’t ever text anything like that to her while she was out having fun (or ever, to be honest). I'm pretty sure she would turn her phone off just like Jas did, and maybe break mine over my head when she got home. Maybe Tom’s only hope with Jasmine is if she gets her heart broken and she needs his support. Even then it might only be as a friend until she moves on to the next man. Okay guys, I don't know if im just paranoid and my senses are heightened because of all that's happened but Jas seems kinda off with me, Like a bit distant and shes typing on her phone a lot while we talk which she doesn't usually do. I think she may be resenting me a bit. Is that to be expected? If so, how long do we think that will go on for? Do I confront her and ask who shes talking too?

Is it normal for her to still have her mind on Leon or should I be worried?

I think it's normal for a gf or wife to have the other guy on her mind and get involved often, particularly when it's a relatively new relationship. But staying away with him for days isn't common. I'm reluctant to give advice for the reason every couple is different in what they want and how they prefer to handle open relationships.

Yeah it's now getting towards the end of the working day (about 16.30 pm) so I would think another 2 hours or slightly less and there's a decent chance of something. Tbh Jas has updated from work before now.

I get the impression this one could be serious so Tom may be taking stock, the realisation or coming to terms with the new dynamic and consequent psychological effects may leave anyone reluctant to come on for a while

It's ALL speculation though, I hope he uses here as a sounding board but it's possible there may be some pain ahead. The truth is we just don't know if coming on here is even as much as a very, very low priority atm

Well, I didn't post anything I wouldn't say to them if they were sitting in the room with me now, and I stand by it. What they have is precious. It's easy to take its indestructibility for granted.

I recall Tom saying early on "I have her heart." I'll admit, I've often thought the same, and I've justified some pretty heavy stuff with the cliche that if she leaves me we didn't have what we thought we had in the first place. I still believe that to be true in our case with such a lot of history, by the way. Having read, and been fascinated by, Tom's chronicle, however, I now see it as rather too glib an assumption in such complex emotional situations with so much hanging on them. Can Jas say in all honesty that Tom "has her heart" as much tonight as he did before all of this started?

You really can sometimes push too hard in your excitement when you do this stuff. It's bad not to see that there is huge risk.
